The Electronics Building is open for the 2008-2009 season.
Sign up for membership by ringing the doorbell at the Electronics Building during the following times.
9:00am - 10:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
8:00am - 9:00am on Wednesday or Friday.
Membership will be $25 for the 2008-2009 season or $5 a week for guest memberships, plus a $10 deposit for a security door access card. Either personal check, travelers check or cash is accepted. Besure to bring your ID badge with a current season VO sticker.
The computer and ham radio clubs offers classes at a cost and user group meetings at no cost. Printers and scanners and specialized software are available on club house computers. Use the high-speed DSL service for internet access from your wireless lap top or from club's Microsoft XP or Vista or MAC provided desktop computers.
Those individuals owning laptop computers can access for free, high speed internet year around at the Venture Out Community Center Building. Use either the Ethernet plugs located in the library or use your wireless feature on your laptop anywhere inside the Community Center Building. Look for the "VOLIBRARY" wireless connection signal. No printer is available.
High Speed internet service is available at your residence in Venture Out. The two primary services available are: (others service providers are available if you search the internet for ISPs, but generally the other service providers charge more.)
1) Dish Network, 1.5 mbps via park wide cable on month to month basis for $24.95 plus cost of a modem. Call 1-800-454-0843 to receive an account number:#8255... and self install for two months free. If you prefer not to do-it-yourself, contact Martin at 248-0955 for installation and wiring . Virus protection and e-mail account are not included in cost.
2) Qwest Telephone offers 1.5 mbps or 7 mbps or 12 mbps or 20 mbps via DSL. You can get a lower monthly price if you take a two year contract with $200 penalty and additional telephone services. Also consider the charges when service is put on vacation. Service can also be purchased on a month to month basis with no cancellation penalties. 3) Use direct dial service using your ISP’s local access number through the telephone hook up in the Administration Building. Local area codes for VO are 602, 480, or 623. A printer is not available at the Adm. Bldg.

There are many clubs and organizations at Venture Out as can be seen by visiting the Venture Out Website (www.ventureoutrvresort.com). .
Venture Out is an age-restricted retirement resort at 5001 East Main Street, in Mesa Arizona. While Venture Out offers all-year activities for seniors, most activities occur in the winter months.
 The Electronics Club was founded in 1987. The goal was to provide facilities, training and social interaction for those Venture Out residents who were interested in electronics.
During the 2007-8 season we had 598 regular members and 147 guest members. In 2006-2007 season, we had more than 600 members who shared their interests in
a) PC computers (XP and Vista operating system w/Microsoft Office software)
b) Macintosh computers
c) Amateur Radio (Ham Radio)
The primary months of operation are from October through April (depending upon available volunteers; the Club may open earlier and/or close later).
Our staff is all volunteer. Instructors, Monitors, technicians, directors and officers work together to provide a wonderful experience for our members.
Funds for operation come from VO Social Board. Our club pays back some of that funding through membership fees, fund raising activities and class fees.
